Car Insurance Buick (Car Insurance). Is a 250 too small for me?Is a 250 too small for me? 6'3 200 pounds and probably going to bulk up to 210-220. I am hoping to buy a dual sport so I can legally ride around town and also hit some off-road trails. I am looking to buy my first bike and only have about 3000 to spend. I may end up doing some long distance, but primarily it would be for commuting and just for fun. A dual sport is not a bad idea for you. They have longer suspension travel, so the seats tend to be higher off the ground, but this won't be a problem for someone as tall as you. 220 lbs should be no problem. Physically the bike wouldn't be too small. I have a Kaw KLX250 and I'm 6' 215. It's a bit small, but I have carried my GF (5'9" 150) to the top of Mt Bross in Breckenridge on it. I like the bike, but if you're going to commute any distances, then go for the KLX or XR 650. Nope, but there are some 250's that are better than others off the dealer floor. For instance, the 2008+ Yamaha WR250 is 1 cylinder off the R1, it can haul 350lbs up a mountain grade, at 75mph, without issue. The KLX250 doesn't do so well right off the dealer floor, but it has upgrades available that can make it slightly more powerful than the WR250. I'm not sure about the other bikes in that class, other than they aren't the preferred options. Try a Honda XR650L or Suzuki DRZ400. Either bike will be more suited to what you want to do. I've had a stellar opportunity to purchase a 1949 Plymouth for a great deal; however, if parts are nearly impossible to obtain then I don't want to have it on my hands and nothing to do with it. Where are the best places for parts for such cars? For example, Year One has plenty of parts for the older muscle cars but not necessarily for classic cars. Ok, we got this car from my husbands Mom. Its been sitting for 5years or so. It still tries to turn over. Engine is Good! We first thought it was just the fuel pump went out. But, we found out that it was that, but... Its also NOT getting any Power! So, we dropped the tank replaced the Pump. We also rigged it up with an alternate power source (we can hear it running). We put 10 gallons of fresh gas into it. It acts like it wants to turn over but s till seems like it isn't getting any fuel. It almost seems like its still grounding out some where.. because it drains the Battery within 1min or so. Its BRAND New. What else could it be? Could it be air in the fuel lines or the Idol regulator? Someone Please Help.. We are putting WAY to much gas into our 07 F150. Buick . Problems Starting a 1995 Dodge Ram 50The Dodge Ram is a pick-up truck that started manufacturing in 1981. If you are having problems getting your Dodge Ram to start, there are several things that you can do before you take it to a repair shop. Common issues include fuel, dead batteries, or a bad alternator. You can diagnose the problem yourself without much hassle. You don't have to be a mechanic to accomplish this task. You can do it yourself. Difficulty:Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Jumper cables Gas Step by Step : 1 Insert the key in the ignition and turn it over. If you hear a "clicking" noise, you may have a bad alternator. Have the truck towed to a service shop to get the alternator replaced. 2 Check the gauge on the dashboard for any indications of low fuel or a dead battery. If the dashboard does not light up at all, you need to check your battery. 3 Open the hood to your Dodge ram and use a friend's car to jumpstart the engine. Connect the red and black wires from your jumper cables to the red and black terminals on your Ram. 4 Connect the other end of the wires to the red and black terminals on your friend's battery. Start your friend's car and then start your Ram. Allow the Ram to sit for about 10 minutes while running. This will charge the battery. 5 Add 1 gallon of fuel to your Dodge Ram if the truck will not jumpstart. Try to start the car again.
Buick . How to Reduce Exhaust SoundSome cars make too much exhaust noise. This can either be because of stock design or aftermarket add-ons, but either way, sometimes this can be too loud for either legal use or personal preference. By using a device called a "muffler silencer" you can effectively reduce muffler sound levels without sacrificing high-end power. Some silencers have also been shown to increase mid-range torque in certain vehicles as a bonus feature. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Muffler silencer Step by Step : 1 Purchase a muffler silencer that will fit your vehicle. Be sure to get the right size diameter silencer for your vehicle's muffler tip. 2 Install the muffler silencer into your vehicle's muffler tip according to the included directions. 3 Secure it into the muffler tip according to the directions. Depending on what type of silencer you buy, it will be removable or it will have to be welded into place. Weld the silencer yourself or acquire the help of a qualified professional to weld it into place and finish the installation. Your vehicle will now put out reduced exhaust noise. *6. Disconnect the cables, thank the Good Samaritan, and resume your life. Don't shut off your engine; drive around for a while to recharge your battery. <& 4r K your alternator light stays on or the gauge on the dashboard continues to ^^ point to "Discharge" after your car's been running, make sure that your fan belt is tight enough to run your alternator properly. If your battery keeps going dead, have a professional check both the battery and your alternator. In any case, never drive around with a light or gauge that reads "Trouble"; have it checked out immediately — that's why those gauges are in there! 969

(There are some exceptions, so read your warranties before going elsewhere for specialized work.) Of course, you may want to stay with the dealer who sold you the vehicle, because dealerships may offer the following advantages: * They often provide extra services to ensure goodwill. Not only can they make more profit on years of service to your vehicle, but they also want you to come back to them when it's time to buy another one. * They usually have a variety of factory-trained specialists right on the premises.
